About me
My name is Maria Paula Duarte, I'm 26 years old, I'm from Colombia. I came here as an International student for graphic design currently in my second semester. I traveled with my husband and my two dogs. My husband's name is Marco and he's 26 years old, he's studying the game design program on his second semester as well. My dogs names are Canela and Bingo, Canela is 11 years old and Bingo is 4 years old. I have 4 years of experience of customer service, I'm the oldest daughter on my family. I have a younger sister, her name is Angelica and she is 21 years old. My mother's name is Alejandra and my father's name is Alfonso.
In colombia I finished my studies when I was 16 years old. my family and I lived in Cucuta, a city from the north east of colombia for 12 years, then my father was required by his job to relocate in Bogota. I didn't study for 1 year after that as my grandmother had cancer and we had to take care of her. Unfortunally she passed away when I was 17, then I started studying english for 1 year . simultaneously, I decied to work a few hours in a family business on a bakery as waitress. When I turned 19 years old I wanted to practice my english more often, then I was hired to work on a call center with a company from the US as my first formal employement, I was really happy and excited, after a few months I met Marco and we started dating. Since we started dating we knew our mutual goals which were traveling around the world and have an amazing life at that time and since then we haven't stopped working hard for those goals and thats one of the reasons im here studying in Canada at Georgian College.
